Harvest

In summer 2019, teammates and I created a first-person horror video game called “Harvest” in the span of two months. Our team of five used the following software programs:

  • Unreal 4 – game engine
  • Maya 2019 – modeling
  • Houdini – procedural corn modeling
  • Substance Painter – texturing
  • Krita – concept art and texturing
  • Adobe Illustrator – UI Assets

I was a project manager, concept artist, procedural modeler, and UI Designer specifically working on the following:

  • Conducted market research organized in an Excel sheet
  • Set due dates on Google Calendar, managed the Discord for communication, and created the Trello board for asset management.
  • Presented weekly updates to the professor and industry mentors
  • Painted concept sketches to figure out the style and tone of the game
  • Drew a model sheet for the main character
  • Modeled a procedural corn asset to create a variety of corn stalks
  • Animated the main character’s hands
  • Designed and programmed the UI for the main menu screen

The game is free to play at https://averagejo.itch.io/harvest
